      Future Vintage is a radioshow dedicated to discovering the history and future of soul, jazz, hiphop, electronic & psychedelic music, with no boundaries. It’s presented by Radna, Reinier and various guest DJ’s. We broadcast every Tuesday from 8-9PM on Red Light Radio, live from the Amsterdam red light district.

      In 2007 Future Vintage was founded by Melodee, Radna, Tom Trago & KC the Funkaholic. Over here you’ll find the best shows from our extensive archive, new podcasts and news & views about the music we like to share with you.

Show no. 9: Special guest DJ Delay

delay-aardvarck-door-tmr-statemagazineZo af en toe vinden we het leuk gast DJ’s uit te nodigen, die voor een keer de muziek van de show grotendeels bepalen. Deze keer is dat DJ Delay, onder sommigen ook bekend als Johnny Yen.

Delay is naast DJ bovenal een vinyl verzamelaar, en hij werkt dan ook heel toepasselijk voor Waxwell, een platenwinkel in Amsterdam gespecialiseerd in bijzonder second hand vinyl.

Voor Future Vintage selecteerde Delay de nodige funk, soul, hiphop en eindigde hij met een zeldzame plaat uit St. Lucia. Zo’n plaat waar je soms heel lang naar op zoek bent, maar de zoektocht het meer dan waard is. Luister maar.

PS: Hoe vonden jullie de instore? De opnames zullen binnenkort online verschijnen. Via Maurice Blom kregen we alvast deze en deze video’s opgestuurd.

PPS: We klinken soms als een piratenzender, dat komt omdat Radio 6 nog steeds met de studio aan het knutselen is (!).

    Ja de instore was erg gezellig, ben met en big smile weer naar huis gegaan met mijn gesigneerde harmonic 313 lp. Feestje daarna was ook super!
    Ben benieuwd naar de set van delay.

    De set van Harmonic 313 tijdens de instore was GREAT. Dik geluid ook in de RushHour.
