Show No.25 – It’s Time To Fly

By Boye · June 30th, 2009, 12:20 · Radio Shows

cherelle

You’ve either been living under a stone or on another planet if the news of the death of Michael Jackson has not reached you.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to include this item in the show of this week, due to some last minute changes with the recording date, but we’ll highlight some of our favorite tracks next week.

For this week we’re keeping up with the summer spirit by playing some proper African vibes, boogie tunes and new tracks by the Hawthorne Headhunters and our homegrown Furlan Williams project.

This week it’s Viral Radio Festival, make sure you check out the message Radna posted for you below, and we’ll might see you there!

As usual the last track has been cut off somewhere in the middle. But here is the killer track from the tallest man in love: Tal Armstrong

Track list:
Darwin’s Theory – Keep On Smiling [lotus land]
Hawthorne Headhunters – Manifest Station [cdr]
Furlan Williams – It’s Time To Fly [cdr]
Jamie Lidell – Green Light [warp]
Mos Def – Casa Bey [downtown]
Jazmine Sullivan – Jumpoff [cdr]
Georgia Ann Muldrow – ESP [cdr]
Mulatu Astatke & The Heliocentrics – Cha Cha [strut]
Franck Biyong & The Afrolectic Orchestra – We Shall Overcome [r2]
Nite Jewel – Let’s Go [no pain in pop]
Cherrelle – Didn’t Mean To Turn You On [tabu]
Peven Everett – Special [white]
Kero One – A Song For Sabrina [plug label]
Tal Armstrong – So Much Feeling [love]
