The next episode of Future Vintage will be recorded on a very special location. On december 11th, we move to Rotterdam to do a show in the NAI (Netherlands Architecture Institute) as part of the Sound(s) of the City programme. While you can check out the Open City exhibition, Sound(s) of the City is all about the way music is related to the architecture and atmosphere of specific cities. In our show we’ll explore music from Los Angeles, Detroit, Sao Paulo, London and ofcourse Rotterdam.

The programme:
15.00 – 17.00 Future Vintage recording with Melodee, Radna, & DJ Thelonious
17.00 – 19.00 Debate on the sound of Rotterdam + music
19.00 – 20.00 Bring your own records + DJ Thelonious (Strange Fruit)
Sound(s) of the city = Free entrance! Exhibition: €8,- / students €5,-

How do you think cities influence its music scenes? A big inspiration is the beautiful little video where Theo Parrish explains the sound of Detroit. And also La Melodia’s hommage to Amsterdam, check it out below. Requests for tracks that you relate to the mentioned cities are welcome, we hope to see you friday!
