Future Vintage is a radioshow dedicated to discovering the history and future of soul, jazz, hiphop, electronic & psychedelic music, with no boundaries. It’s presented by Radna, Reinier and various guest DJ’s. We broadcast every Tuesday from 8-9PM on Red Light Radio, live from the Amsterdam red light district.
In 2007 Future Vintage was founded by Melodee, Radna, Tom Trago & KC the Funkaholic. Over here you’ll find the best shows from our extensive archive, new podcasts and news & views about the music we like to share with you.

Back to basics with this show. Just Radna and me, and we felt it was time for a more introvert show. Do you want to know what Pato Banton and A$AP Rocky have in common? Do you want to know what was really on the b-side of the Max D record (it wasn’t Max), do you want to know what happens in the future, or do you simply wanna know wassup? Future Vintage has got answers to your questions.

Since we started this show, I never really knew how to explain it. But what I do know, is that some artists always have been -and stayed- a major inspiration, and are part of the core of what we like to play. One of these groups is SA-RA. And so we were already happy to hearOm’Mas Keithwas in town, but even more suprised, and honoured, when he dropped by at the studio (yes, sometimes Facebook comments can lead to something).
Om’Mas is not only 1/3rd of SA-RA Creative partners, he also collaborated with many other artists and released some great solo material here and there (remember Uh Oh It’s Love? There’s more coming up). He’s also working together with the new generation – like the Odd Future crew. I can continue writing, but hey, let’s give the show a listen. It kind of has three levels; first it’s Reinier & I playing records with skipping needles, then there’s a short interview with Om’Mas (at 31min), and then the show is all his; playing different tracks (some brand new!) and ending this episode with a great set of strictly instrumentals. Enjoy! DOWNLOADFuture Vintage 060 w Om’Mas Keith @ Red Light Radio 11-08-2011 by Red Light Radio

Sometimes ice cold like Rustie’s ice tunnels or a Bounty Killer riddim, then soft & warm like Loose Ends or Marvin Gaye – this episode was going many places. And I’m always excited when I hear new Erykah Badu vocals popping up somewhere. PS: If you want some more music like that long track by Cluster we were playing, make sure to drop by at Seeing Sounds next week.
