3 Quirky Thrifted Details for your Car

Are you excited to find little ways to personalize your car? Express your style and have fun while you’re at it with these three ideas!

1. Funky Figurine on the Dashboard

If you love retro action figures or quirky little sculptures, display one on your dash board! This is a great way to let the people who ride in your car a little bit about yourself. Tag sales and flea markets often have boxes and bins of old toys, or tables filled with figurines. Shop for the perfect little detail, and display it with pride!

2. Turn Vintage Jewelry into a Mirror Ornament

You know that thrift stores are filled to the brim with cool vintage jewelry. Why not take a chunky, crystal necklace and turn it into a ornament? Hook it over your mirror, and enjoy the way the sun filters through it. You’ll get ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhhs’ from your passengers, too!

3. Fun Fabric Seat Covers

The next time you spot a gorgeous textile, don’t pass it up just because you’re not a seamstress. You can easily use big chunks of fabric as seat covers, especially in the back seat. Simply fold it horizontally and tuck it into the space where the back of the seat meets the bottom, and voila! You have a seat cover. This is a great way to show off a pretty vintage fabric, earn some style points, and protect your seats from kids or pets!

Did these three ideas trigger any other creative thoughts for you? Share your great ideas for car decor in the comments, below.
