Hello and happy Friday vintage lovers!!! [woot woot!]
I’m **SO** excited to share with you part 5 of a series called “Thrifting the Runway,” where I show you how to thrift trends as inspired by the runways for fall 2011. The feedback has been AMAZING and I really appreciate you showing love for this series!
Today’s video is all about the PLAID trend for fall. From tartan to granny or preppy to sexy, plaid isn’t just a pattern that’s synonymous with fall — but classic & chic style, too.
Keep reading after the jump for links to my other episodes from this series, and for pictures revealing the final looks!
I’d love to hear what you think about this video, and of course to hear your latest thrifting & vintage adventures and where they may have taken you recently!

So cute! My favorite fall runway inspired look so far! I am going to hit up my local thrift stores this weekend in search of a AMAZING midi-length plaid skirt like that one! You look great! I will email you a picture if I happen to be as lucky as you in finding one!
Another great post and video! Thanks for sharing the vintage love, Sammy!

Hi, it might be plaid to you, but its tartan to us Scots and it will never go out of fashion! A Scottish wedding is not complete without a bit of tartan!

I really loved this look. I know you’re already tall, but it makes you look even more ’90’s supermodel-esque.
