There she is! Before/after shots of The Little Black ($10!) Dress I wore to the 2010 Glamour Women of the Year Awards at Carnegie Hall on Monday, November 8th.
Huge thanks to Jenn from Rich Girls and Roller Skates for helping me decide between the 3 LBD finalists … each was so special in her own totally thrifty way! But I settled on the Laundry dress because it was a beautiful designer piece that quite honestly fit like a gem — and went well with one of my favorite accessories: FISHNETS!
If you haven’t seen the video of the search for the perfect thrifted dress … watch it in its full glory here! The most hilarious part? When I try to sell Jenn on a Barbie prom dress circa ’99. Looking back, SO thankful she encouraged me NOT to go in that direction! Maybe for Mardi Gras this spring, perhaps?
Do you like the dress I decided to wear to Glamour? Do you think I should have chosen one of the other two? Let me know in the comments below! And as always, shout me a holler at [email protected] if you have questions about vintage or thrift store style! I’m here to help ;-)
