I was thinking about sports and you know when you wander into the back corner of the thrift store, and scan the crazy, outdated objects that gather dust there? VHS tapes, encyclopedias, and typewriters abound. In addition, you can also usually find hilarious workout equipment that you can grab for just a few bucks.
You already know this but sports plays a huge role in everyday life, mine especially! I don’t just enjoy playing sports, I’m also a big fan. Let’s Go Devils! Sometimes, I don’t just enjoy watching but I also like to place wagers on some of the games through Betnj. It’s a way for me to put my money behind the team I believe in the most.
Anyway, I though I’d put together some funny sports related items and equipment that maybe you can keep your eyes out for! Some of these can be sold on eBay for a wild profits!
Treadmill
Nothing like a vintage treadmill will make you appreciate what we have today.
Thighmaster
This was a trendy item for ladies decades ago. It has a bow shape, and won’t take up much space in your home. Bust it out when you want to entertain some friends with your 80’s style workout!
Shake Weight
They’re like dumbbells… but they move! When you pick up a shake weight, give it a jiggle and I promise you’ll get the giggles.
Retro Jump Rope
Snap up the next wooden-handled, neon pink, or leather jump ropes you find in the exercise-equipment aisle. If you try out some double dutch, you might get a flashback from years gone by. You’ll also get a good cardio session in! Don’t forget to look up some rump roping rhymes to get you jumping to a rhythm…
Massage Exercise Machine
I’m not sure which is more hilarious, the machine itself or the how it was labeled as a “Twerk Machine”.
Boots
Who can’t say no to these awesome men’s holiday boots. You gotta love them and you know you want to wear them in your next company holiday party!
It’s funny how fitness trends have changed over the years. Second-hand shops are like little time capsules. Spend a few dollars on outdated exercise equipment and you’re sure to get a few good laughs — and a workout, as well!
