Dress Up Your Cut-Offs With Vintage Fabric

I have a fun idea for you! The next time you make cut-offs, dress them up with vintage fabrics. This gives your shorts a unique touch and will make them a special item that you want to wear all the time.

The next time you are thrift shopping, keep your eyes out for cool vintage prints. These can pop up anywhere, from blouses to men’s pants to quirky scarves. Start a little collection of your favorite fabrics. They’ll come in useful for crafty D.I.Y. projects like this one!

Use your fabric treasures by sewing them on to a pair of cut-offs. You could make the cut-offs yourself from a long pair of jeans, or use a pair that you already have. Add the fabric onto the hem, the back pockets, or one side of the front of your shorts. Give your faded blues a funky twist by sewing on a bright and bold pattern! Or keep things country-soft with a pastel floral print. Whichever way you go, they are sure to be one-of-a-kind. Do you have cut-offs in the closet that could use some jazzing up? Let me know in the comments below!
