This year, make everyday a high-confidence day with these six style tricks.
Define Your Style
Take time out of your busy schedule to sit down and really think about your style, and what you want to portray to the world. You will gain fashion confidence once you’re really clear about what it is you’re trying to express. Clothing is all about showing the world who you are, as an authentic and unique being! Write down what you feel your true style is, and pin it up on your bedroom wall or bathroom mirror.

Pick out one to five fashion icons. Collect images of these people on a Pinterest board, or make a file of images on your computer. An alternative is to cut out pictures from magazines, or print your pics so that you have physical copies and can build a collage. You’re not going to rip-off entire outfits, or become a copy-cat, but you are going to get inspired and learn from the best! This is important, especially if you feel like you’re surrounded by a blah community that doesn’t care about fashion. When you find your fashion icons, you’ll be guided to create ensembles that you truly love.
Trash the Clothes That Make You Feel Frumpy
You know those jeans that just never seem to fit right? Or the tight-fitting blouse that makes you hate your midsection? Put them in a trash bag and donate them to a consignment shop or clothing donation center. You don’t need them anymore! Keeping them around will only tempt you to reach for them.
The truth is, sometimes you are your own worst enemy. Self-sabotage is a real thing! So instead of letting your subconscious get the best of you, get rid of the clothing items that make you feel like a couch potato the minute you identify them.
Use At Least One Accessory Per Outfit
This is a great way to look and feel put together! Almost every outfit can benefit from the right accessory. If you’re the type of person that feels her outfits are often bland and boring, you’re going to get an immediate confidence boost with this trick. Pair a loose-fitting grey dress with a colorful wide-banded belt, or accessorize a scoop-neck blouse with an elegant pair of feather earrings.
Consider Your Health and Well-being
Beauty shines from the inside out. Take some time out for self care. Get that facial you’ve been dying for, or give your hair the deep-conditioning treatment that you know it needs. Eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water so that your skin has a gorgeous glow. If you take some time to consider your health and well-being, you can feel more beautiful inside and out, and that is sure to up your confidence levels.
Ask A Friend
If you get into a style rut, ask a friend for advice. Your friends know your tastes and love you as a person, so they can steer you in the right direction! They might be able to see something about your fashion sense that you’re missing.
